Hunter C. Hatten earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Colorado State University, graduating magna cum laude. He then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Hunter launched his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney with the Denver District Attorney’s Office in 2024. In that role, he gained invaluable courtroom experience, first-chairing more than 10 jury trials and managing a docket of over 400 cases. Today, as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, he channels that trial experience and passion for advocacy into fighting for the injured in the civil justice system.
Hunter Hatten is an Associate Attorney at Chalat Hatten & Banker PC, where he advocates for plaintiffs in complex personal-injury and wrongful-death cases. His journey with the firm began while in law school, serving as a Summer Law Clerk in both 2022 and 2023. In that role, he gained foundational experience by conducting legal research, drafting briefs, and assisting with all stages of case preparation and management.After graduating, Hunter served as a Deputy District Attorney with the Denver DA’s Office for eight months. He first-chaired more than 10 jury trials and a bench trial, handling everything from opening statements to cross-examinations and closing arguments. The fast-paced demands of criminal prosecution sharpened his ability to adapt strategy quickly, craft precise evidentiary arguments, and deliver clear, confident courtroom advocacy. Today, Hunter brings that sharpened skillset back to Chalat Hatten & Banker, combining his prosecutorial trial experience with his passion for helping those who have been harmed.
